I was walking along Bank Street and BAM! There was an article I’d written in a store’s front window display. Very cool and kind of made my day.

Today will be better
Posted in personal on 01/26/2012 |
Pretty much how I feel today. Lack of email/twitter/fb/social media presence since last week was because of a death in the family. I will return with regular vigor next Monday.
Old pale memories of someone you knew, keep crawling to the back of your mind, stealing time. And in the daylight crossing all your wires, you never knew just how to put out a fire. Jasmine’s a hoot! I had so much fun with this article and feel so blessed to have a job where I get to talk about masturbation and read erotica as part of research. I’m 3/4s of the way through the novel too (which gets VERY sexy!) and have been laughing aloud going along. You can check out more at her site, jasmineaziz.com. Let’s hear it for sex-positive womyn!!!
Local Songstress Ladies Inspire & Motivate

Local songstress Kathleen Edwards was on Letterman on January 17th and rocked it with a song that’s a close contender for sexiest lyrics of 2011. Love seeing Ottawa musicians doing well on the international scene.
My favourite local lady is still Alanis Morrisette though. She’s someone I would LOVE to interview or just have a talk over coffee with. I’m so inspired by her, her career and life choices, yet have NEVER seen her perform. It’s amazing how some artists’ music sticks with you from such a young age. I definitely didn’t understand her angst in Jagged Little Pill in 1996, but damn girl, do I get it now.
